InnoDB in Cloud Hosting
Any PHP script-powered software app that needs InnoDB will function flawlessly on our avant-garde cloud web hosting platform and the database engine is offered with all our cloud hosting packages. Every time you create a database manually or our app installer tool creates one automatically and an app installation process is started, the engine that the database in question will make use of will be selected in accordance with the app’s specifications without having to configure any setting in your shared hosting account. InnoDB will be selected automatically for any app that requires this particular engine and you will be able to make the most of its full potential. We will keep regular backups of your content, so in case you accidentally erase a MySQL database that’s important to you or you overwrite some part of it, we will be able to restore everything the way it was only a few hours earlier.
InnoDB in Semi-dedicated Servers
You can install a PHP script-driven web application that requires InnoDB with any of our semi-dedicated server plans, due to the fact that all the accounts are set up on our innovative cloud web hosting platform where the MySQL database storage engine is installed. A new database can be set up in two different ways – manually through the Database Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, or automatically – if you take advantage of our one-click application installer. Either way, the needed engine will be selected automatically once the application’s activation begins, so you won’t have to edit anything manually, regardless of whether the app needs InnoDB or the more frequently used MyISAM. Furthermore, we’ll always be able to retrieve any of your databases if you erase one by accident, as we make a couple of backups every day, each of which is stored for one week.
InnoDB in Dedicated Servers
All dedicated servers ordered with our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel come with a software package that’s pre-activated and among everything else, you’ll get the InnoDB storage engine, so you won’t have to install it manually in case you need to use open-source PHP scripts that require it. All it takes to activate such a script is to set up a new database and to begin the setup process – once the script installation wizard obtains access to the database in question and starts importing content into it, InnoDB will be set as the default MySQL engine for this database provided that it is the one required by the script. You will also be able to install scripts that require the other widely used MySQL engine, MyISAM, so you will not have to change any settings on the dedicated server. This will allow you to run different scripts on one single physical machine and to use it to its full capabilities.
